1 AN ACT to amend the School Code by changing Section
2 2-3.90.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing
6 Section 2-3.90 as follows:
7 (105 ILCS 5/2-3.90) (from Ch. 122, par. 2-3.90)
8 Sec. 2-3.90. Recommendations on improving teacher
9 training. The State Board of Education, after consultation
10 with private and public higher education institutions located
11 in cities having a population exceeding 500,000, shall study
12 and make recommendations to the General Assembly on ways to
13 improve teacher training in the public school system of such
14 cities. The Board shall report its findings to the General
15 Assembly by January 1, 1990.
