1 AN ACT to amend the Livestock Management Facilities Act
2 by changing Section 10.30.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Livestock Management Facilities Act is
6 amended by changing Section 10.30 as follows:
7 (510 ILCS 77/10.30)
8 Sec. 10.30. Livestock management facility. "Livestock
9 management facility" means any animal feeding operation,
10 livestock shelter, or on-farm milking and accompanying
11 milk-handling area. Two or more livestock management
12 facilities under common ownership, where the facilities are
13 not separated by a minimum distance of 1/4 mile, and that
14 share a common livestock waste handling facility shall be
15 considered a single livestock management facility. A
16 Livestock management facilities facility at educational
17 institutions, livestock pasture operations, where animals are
18 housed on a temporary basis such as county and state fairs,
19 livestock shows, race tracks, and horse breeding and foaling
20 farms, and market holding facilities are not subject to this
21 Act.
