1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 583
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 583 as follows:
3 by replacing the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT concerning real property."; and
5 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
6 following:
7 "Section 5. Upon the payment to the State of Illinois of
8 an amount to be negotiated by the parties in interest and
9 according to the terms of an agreement between the Lockport
10 Township Park District and the Director of Corrections, the
11 Director of Corrections is authorized to convey by quitclaim
12 deed to the Lockport Township Park District all right, title,
13 and interest in and to the following described land in Will
14 County, Illinois:
15 The NE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 21-36-10 and the SE
16 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 21-36-10. (Approximately 80
17 acres.)
18 Section 10. Upon the payment to the State of Illinois of
19 an amount to be negotiated by the parties in interest and
20 according to the terms of an agreement between the Will

1 County Department of Highways and the Director of
2 Corrections, the Director of Corrections is authorized to
3 convey by quitclaim deed to the Will County Department of
4 Highways all right, title, and interest in and to the
5 following described land in Will County, Illinois:
6 That Part of the South Half of Section 29, Township 36
7 North, Range 10 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
8 Lockport Township, Will County, Illinois, described as
9 follows: Beginning at the Southeast comer of the Southwest
10 Quarter of the above said Section 29; thence westerly along
11 the south boundary of the above said Southwest Quarter 660.22
12 feet to the west boundary of the Stateville Penitentiary;
13 thence northerly 450.00 feet along that boundary; thence
14 easterly to a point which is 430.01 feet east and 450.00 feet
15 north of the point of beginning; thence South 450.00 feet to
16 the south line of the Southeast Quarter of Section 29; thence
17 West and at a 90 degree angle from the last described course,
18 430.01 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 10 acres,
19 more or less. Acreage based on that portion outside the
20 limits of a 50 foot right of way.
21 Section 15. The Director of Corrections shall obtain a
22 certified copy of the portions of this Act containing the
23 title, the enacting clause, the effective date, the
24 appropriate Sections containing the land descriptions of
25 property to be transferred, and this Section within 60 days
26 after this Act's effective date and, upon receipt of payment
27 required by the appropriate Sections, shall record the
28 certified document in the Recorder's office in the county in
29 which the land is located.
30 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
31 becoming law.".
