If residents are physically unable to open the 23 container, the container may be opened for them. Any sheltered 7 care facility that chooses to convert, in whole or in part, 8 shall follow the requirements in the Nursing Home Care Act 9 and rules promulgated under that Act regarding voluntary 10 closure and notice to residents."; and 11 on page 35, line 19, by changing "alzheimer" to "Alzheimer"; 12 and 13 on page 35 by replacing lines 29 through 32 with the 14 following: 15 "(c) No person shall be accepted for residency or remain 16 in residence if: 17 (1) the person meets the criteria set forth in 18 Stage 6 or 7 of the Global Deterioration Scale for 19 Assessment of Primary Degenerative Dementia; 20 (2) the person is dangerous to self or others and 21 the establishment would be unable to eliminate the danger 22 through the use of appropriate treatment modalities; or 23 (3) the person meets the criteria provided in 24 Section 75 of this Act."; and 25 on page 36 by deleting lines 1 and 2; and 26 on page 36 by replacing lines 30 through 32 with the 27 following: 28 "patterns to respond to the needs of residents."; and 29 on page 37 by replacing lines 5 and 6 with the following: 30 "provisions of the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act. 31 An establishment licensed under"; and -7- LRB9101210JSpcam07 1 on page 40 by replacing line 11 with the following: 2 "hereafter amended, a long term care facility, assisted 3 living establishment, and shared housing establishment 4 must:"; and 5 on page 40 by replacing line 23 with the following: 6 "(2) Each long term care facility, assisted living 7 establishment, and shared housing establishment shall 8 display, in"; and 9 on page 55, line 15, by changing "law," to "law;".
