91_HB0340 LRB9101520DHmg 1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Criminal Justice Information 2 Act by changing Section 4. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Act 6 is amended by changing Section 4 as follows: 7 (20 ILCS 3930/4) (from Ch. 38, par. 210-4) 8 Sec. 4. Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority 9 - Creation, membership and meetings. There is created an 10 Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority consisting of 11 1615members. The membership of the Authority shall consist 12 of the Illinois Attorney General, or his or her designee, the 13 Director of the Illinois Department of Corrections, the 14 Director of the Illinois Department of State Police, the 15 Sheriff of Cook County, the State's Attorney of Cook County, 16 the Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department, the 17 Director of the Office of the State's Attorneys Appellate 18 Prosecutor, the Executive Director of the Law Enforcement 19 Training and Standards Board, or his or her designee, and the 20 following additional members, each of whom shall be appointed 21 by the Governor: a sheriff and a state's attorney of a county 22 other than Cook, a chief of police, and 5 members of the 23 general public. 24 The Governor from time to time shall designate a Chairman 25 of the Authority from the membership. All members of the 26 Authority appointed by the Governor shall serve at the 27 pleasure of the Governor for a term not to exceed 4 years. 28 The initial appointed members of the Authority shall serve 29 from January, 1983 until the third Monday in January, 1987 or 30 until their successors are appointed. 31 The Authority shall meet at least quarterly, and all -2- LRB9101520DHmg 1 meetings of the Authority shall be called by the Chairman. 2 (Source: P.A. 84-1308; 84-1438.) 3 Section 99.
