1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Procurement Code by changing
2 Section 50-65.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by
6 changing Section 50-65 as follows:
7 (30 ILCS 500/50-65)
8 Sec. 50-65. Contractor suspension. A Any contractor
9 shall may be suspended for violation of this Code or for
10 failure to conform to specifications or terms of delivery.
11 Suspension shall be for cause and shall be permanent unless
12 may be for a period of up to 5 years at the discretion of the
13 applicable chief procurement officer. Contractors may be
14 debarred in accordance with rules promulgated by the chief
15 procurement officer or as otherwise provided by law.
