1 AN ACT to amend the Health Maintenance Organization Act
2 by adding Section 2-11.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Health Maintenance Organization Act is
6 amended by adding Section 2-11 as follows:
7 (215 ILCS 125/2-11 new)
8 Sec. 2-11. Provider eligibility. A health maintenance
9 organization may not refuse to allow any physician licensed
10 to practice medicine in all its branches from acting as a
11 provider of health care services on behalf of the
12 organization.
