1 AN ACT to amend the Riverboat Gambling Act by changing
2 Section 20.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Riverboat Gambling Act is amended by
6 changing Section 20 as follows:
7 (230 ILCS 10/20) (from Ch. 120, par. 2420)
8 Sec. 20. Prohibited activities; civil penalties. Any
9 person who conducts a gambling operation without first
10 obtaining a license to do so, or who continues to conduct
11 such games after revocation of his or her license, or any
12 licensee who conducts or allows to be conducted any
13 unauthorized gambling games on a riverboat where it is
14 authorized to conduct its riverboat gambling operation, in
15 addition to other penalties provided, shall be subject to a
16 civil penalty equal to the amount of gross receipts derived
17 from wagering on the gambling games, whether unauthorized or
18 authorized, conducted on that day as well as confiscation and
19 forfeiture of all gambling game equipment used in the conduct
20 of unauthorized gambling games.
