1 AN ACT to amend "An Act making appropriations", Public
2 Act 90-585, approved June 4, 1998, by changing Section 19b1
3 of Article 86.
4 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
5 represented in the General Assembly:
6 Section 5. "An Act making appropriations", Public Act
7 90-585, approved June 4, 1998, is amended by changing Section
8 19b1 of Article 86 as follows:
9 (P.A. 90-585, Article 86, Section 19b1)
10 Sec. 19b1. The sum of $40,000,000 $20,000,000, or so
11 much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the
12 General Revenue Fund to the Department of Transportation for
13 making grants to the Regional Transportation Authority for
14 the purpose of reimbursing the Service Boards for providing
15 reduced fares for mass transportation services for students,
16 handicapped persons, and the elderly to be allocated
17 proportionately among the Service Boards based upon actual
18 costs incurred by each Service Board for such reduced fares.

20 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
21 becoming law.
