House Sponsors: BEAUBIEN-CURRIE Short description: PROP TX-AGGREGATE EXTENSION Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Property Tax Extension Limitation Law in the Property Tax Code. In the definition of aggregate extension for certain taxing districts that were not subject to this law before the 1995 levy year, includes in the exclusion for payments of principal and interest on bonds issued under the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Act bonds issued to finance flood control projects and those made for payments for principal and interest on bonds issued to refund or continue to refund bonds issued to finance the construction or flood control projects. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Separates, for purposes of exclusions from the definition of "aggregate extension", bonds issued under the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Act for flood control projects and construction projects. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 2. Deletes everything. Amends the Property Tax Extension Limitation Law in the Property Tax Code.
