SCH CD-ED BOARD CONVICTION                                                 

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the School Code.  Provides that a vacancy  is  created  in      
   the  office  of  an  elected  school  board  member  when he or she is      
   convicted of a violent crime against a child.                               
          FISCAL NOTE (State Board of Education)                               
          No state-level costs; dist.-level costs are unlikely to be           
          substantial.                                                         
          STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE (State Board of Education)                
          No change from SBE fiscal note.
