1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate are saddened to learn
3 of the death of Philip Abraham of Peoria on April 28, 1997;
4 and
5 WHEREAS, He was born in Eramans County, North Dakota, the
6 son of George and Anna Williams Abraham; and
7 WHEREAS, Mr. Abraham was a member of the Navy Seabees
8 during World War II, and retired from Local 353 where he
9 worked as a steamfitter; and
10 WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church;
11 and
12 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family
13 and friends, especially his wife, Gladys; his children,
14 David, Connie, Gail, and George; his grandchildren, Lauren,
15 Malyne, Elle, and Traci; his sisters, Kathryn Corey,
16 Josephine Comfort, and Sebia Williams; and his brother, Joe
17 Abraham; therefore be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
19 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we extend our sincere
20 condolences to the family and friends of Philip Abraham; and
21 be it further
22 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23 presented to his widow, Mrs. Gladys Abraham.
