1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of This Body were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Gerald W. Koehler of Decatur, Illinois on
4 March 31, 1997; and
5 WHEREAS, Mr. Koehler was born in Vandalia, Illinois on
6 January 22, 1940 to Gerald W. and Helen Womack Koehler Sr.;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, Gerald Koehler married Susan J. Storm on
9 February 11, 1962; and
10 WHEREAS, Gerald Koehler was a thirty-five year member of
11 IBEW Local 146, where he served for twenty-one years as
12 business manager and for five years as assistant manager for
13 the N.E.C.A. IBEW, Health and Welfare Fund; Gerald was past
14 president of Building Trades of Decatur, and served on other
15 local civic organizations in Decatur; and
16 WHEREAS, Gerald Koehler is survived by his loving wife
17 Susan; his father Gerald Sr., his sons Joseph and his wife
18 Jill, John and his wife Carrie, and Jerry and his wife Angel;
19 his sister Cheryl Carpenter and her husband Carl; and his
20 seven grandchildren Nicole, Brandon, Adam, Christopher,
21 Michael, Kayla, and Darren; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
23 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his
24 family and friends, the death of Gerald Koehler; and be it
25 further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to the family of Gerald W. Koehler.
