90_SR0027 LRB9005004KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate were saddened 3 to learn of the death of Betty J. Fulton of Gillespie, 4 Illinois on February 6, 1997; and 5 WHEREAS, Betty Fulton was born in St. Louis, Missouri on 6 February 19, 1930, the daughter of Mildred Farris and Alvin 7 Hartman; on September 22, 1954 she married James L. Fulton; 8 and 9 WHEREAS, Betty Fulton was employed by Community Unit 10 School District No. 7 as a bus driver, and had retired from 11 her position as coordinator for the Gillespie-Benld Ambulance 12 Service; Betty Fulton was a member of the Gillespie Lions 13 Club and the Benld EMT Association; and 14 WHEREAS, Mrs. Fulton is survived by her loving mother, 15 Mildred Farris; her daughter Cheryl Hammann; two sons, Tim 16 and James; two sisters, Ruthe "Tudy" Weller and Dora Lee 17 Graves; three step-brothers, John Farris, William Farris, and 18 Fred Farris; her step-sister Barbara Reachke; her beloved 19 friend and companion Richard Sereq; eight grandchildren and 20 one great grandson; therefore, be it 21 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY 22 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn with sadness the 23 death of Betty J. Fulton of Gillespie, Illinois; and be it 24 further 25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 26 presented to the family of Betty J. Fulton.
