Appropriates $188,796,400 from the General Revenue Fund
and $19,957,500 from the Education Assistance Fund to
Southern Illinois University for its ordinary and contingent
expenses for FY 1999. Reappropriates to Southern Illinois
University from the General Revenue Fund for renovation and
replacement of the East St. Louis Center of Southern Illinois
University so much of an amount appropriated for that purpose
for the prior fiscal year that remains unexpended at the end
of that prior fiscal year. Effective July 1, 1998.

1 AN ACT making appropriations and a reappropriation to the
2 Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The following named sums, or so much thereof
6 as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and
7 purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated from the General
8 Revenue Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois
9 University to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of
10 Southern Illinois University for the fiscal year ending June
11 30, 1999:
12 For Personal Services, including
13 payment to the University for
14 personal services costs incurred

22 Section 15. The sum of $400,000, or so much thereof as
23 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of
24 business on June 30, 1998, from an appropriation heretofore
25 made for that purpose in Article 10, Section 15 of Public Act
26 90-10, is reappropriated to Southern Illinois University from
27 the General Revenue Fund for renovation and replacement of
28 the East St. Louis Center of Southern Illinois University.
29 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July
30 1, 1998.
