Appropriates $42,402,000 to the Board of Trustees of
Eastern Illinois University for its ordinary and contingent
expenses for Fiscal Year 1998 from the following funds:
General Revenue Fund $38,542,100
Education Assistance Fund 3,859,900
Effective July 1, 1997.

1 AN ACT making appropriations to the Board of Trustees of
2 Eastern Illinois University.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The following named amounts, or so much
6 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects
7 and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated from the
8 General Revenue Fund to the Board of Trustees of Eastern
9 Illinois University to meet the ordinary and contingent
10 expenses of the University:
11 For Personal Services, including
12 payment to the University for
13 personal services costs
14 incurred during the
15 fiscal year................................. $31,829,800
16 For State Contributions to
17 Social Security............................. 275,100
18 For Contractual Services........................ 3,829,600
19 For Travel...................................... 364,500
20 For Commodities................................. 570,900
21 For Equipment and Library
22 Books....................................... 1,312,600
23 For Telecommunications
24 Services.................................... 150,400
25 For Operation of Automotive
26 Equipment................................... 22,500
27 For Awards and Grants and
28 Matching Funds.............................. 186,700
