Appropriates $52,211,000 to the Board of Trustees of
Western Illinois University for the ordinary and contingent
expenses of the University for FY98 from the following funds:
General Revenue Fund $46,504,200
Education Assistance Fund $5,706,800
Effective July 1, 1997.

1 AN ACT making appropriations to the Board of Trustees of
2 Western Illinois University.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The following named amounts, or so much
6 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects
7 and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated from the
8 General Revenue Fund to the Board of Trustees of Western
9 Illinois University to meet the ordinary and contingent
10 expenses of Western Illinois University for the fiscal year
11 ending June 30, 1998:
12 For Personal Service, including payment
13 to the University for personal services
14 costs incurred during the fiscal year....... $35,411,200
15 For State Contributions to Social
16 Security.................................... 412,000
17 For Contractual Service......................... 4,948.000
18 For Travel...................................... 612,000
19 For Commodities................................. 1,145,000
20 For Equipment and Library Books................. 3,044,000
21 For Telecommunication Services.................. 473,000
22 For Operation of Automotive Equipment........... 54,000
23 For Awards and Grants and Matching
24 Funds....................................... 335,000
25 For Permanent Improvements...................... 70,000

27 Section 10. The following named amount, or so much
28 thereof as may be necessary for the object and purpose
29 hereinafter named, is appropriated from the Education
30 Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of Western
31 University to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of
