1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Vehicle Code by changing
2 Section 3-622.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by
6 changing Section 3-622 as follows:
7 (625 ILCS 5/3-622) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 3-622)
8 Sec. 3-622. U.S. Armed Forces Reserves plates. The
9 Secretary, upon receipt of an application made in the form
10 prescribed by the Secretary of State, may issue to members of
11 the United States Armed Forces Reserves who reside in
12 Illinois, special registration plates. The special plates
13 issued pursuant to this Section shall be affixed only to
14 passenger vehicles of the first division or motor vehicles of
15 the second division weighing not more than 8,000 pounds
16 subject to the staggered registration system. The design and
17 color of such plates shall be wholly within the discretion of
18 the Secretary of State.
