1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body are happy to recognize
3 organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the
4 well-being of the citizens of this State; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that the Benld
6 Rotary Club is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, It was chartered on February 28, 1938 with Dr.
9 D. J. Zerbolio as its first president; and
10 WHEREAS, The Benld Rotary Club has always felt it could
11 be most useful in community and youth services; scouting,
12 high school athletic banquets, swimming programs, and Honors
13 Day Programs are some of the programs; and
14 WHEREAS, Anton Leone and Anton Fassero are two of the
15 original members; and
16 WHEREAS, The Benld Rotary Club's objective has been and
17 will continue to be the betterment of the Benld community;
18 therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
21 congratulate the Benld Rotary Club on its 60th anniversary
22 and take this opportunity to wish its members good luck in
23 the future; and be it further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to the President of the Benld Rotary Club and to
26 Anton Leone and Anton Fassero.
