1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the House are happy to recognize
3 the excellence of young athletes and wish to congratulate the
4 Vandalia Community High School on taking fourth place in the
5 1997 Class A Illinois High School Association's State Dual
6 Meet Wrestling Tournament; and
7 WHEREAS, Under the leadership of Coach Glenn Exton and
8 Assistant Coach Andy Stritzel, the team ended the season with
9 an impressive record of 24-2; and
10 WHEREAS, The team members are Seth Henry, Travis Smith,
11 Chad Wilson, Adam Lape, Mike Mabry, Kirk Swyers, Nathan
12 Graumenz, Matt Emerick, Nick Cocagne, Shane Dothager, Ty
13 Kidd, Jacob Culbertson, Louis Smith, Lucas Cearlock, Reid
14 Torbeck, Shane Graumenz, Jeremy Durbin, Anthony Lach, Jason
15 Clay, and Scott Street, and
16 WHEREAS, The coaches, faculty, students, parents, and the
17 entire Vandalia community are justly proud of the Vandalia
18 Vandals wrestling team; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
21 congratulate the Vandalia Community High School wrestling
22 team on taking fourth place in the 1997 Class A I.H.S.A. Dual
23 Meet Wrestling Championship and that we extend to them our
24 sincere best wishes for continued success in the future; and
25 be it further
26 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
27 presented to Coach Glenn Exton, Coach Andy Stritzel, and to
28 each member of the team as an expression of our esteem.
