1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are happy to honor the County of DuPage
4 Operation Snowball members as they sponsor the first annual
5 county-wide event for Operation Snowball; and
6 WHEREAS, The County of DuPage Operation Snowball group
7 was formed by it's Teen Directors Amy Lewis, Adam Paris, and
8 Dave Pasqualle; and
9 WHEREAS, The group gathers together and attempts to help
10 break down the stereotypes and social barriers that are
11 prevalent in a teenager's life; Operation Snowball provides
12 an opportunity for teens to come together and learn how to
13 have a better understanding and respect for themselves and
14 one another; Operation Snowball teaches the adolescents how
15 to develop important life skills; Operation Snowball also
16 opens the doors for teenagers to evaluate, re-evaluate, and
17 strengthen themselves and their morals, values, and beliefs;
18 the County of DuPage group has brought all of these ideas
19 together and created an atmosphere that is fun, and at the
20 same time meaningful to the teens of the group; and
21 WHEREAS, Operation Snowball is holding its first annual
22 event for all DuPage County high schools on April 25, 26, and
23 27, 1997; and
24 WHEREAS, Operation Snowball is proud to have as its Adult
25 Directors Sherrie Huber and Charla Waxman; and
26 WHEREAS, The county-wide event is being sponsored by
27 DuPage County and the DuPage County State's Attorney's
28 Office; therefore, be it
29 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
30 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
31 commend the Adult and Teen Directors of the County of DuPage

1 Operation Snowball group as they bring together the youth of
2 DuPage County at this special event; and be it further
3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to the Adult and Teen Directors of the County of
5 DuPage Operation Snowball.
