1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Birthdays are a time to reflect on our lives,
3 and each birthday brings new memories and thoughts of the
4 past; and
5 WHEREAS, Mr. Anthony "Tony" Yukich celebrates his 80th
6 birthday on March 17; Mr. Yukich was born in 1917 in Chicago,
7 Illinois; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Yukich married his loving wife Frances in
9 1939 and together they raised three sons, Bob, Bill, and Jim;
10 and
11 WHEREAS, In 1957 Mr. Yukich moved to Evergreen Park,
12 Illinois, otherwise known as "God's Country", where he
13 quickly became active in the community as the Captain of
14 Precinct 76; and
15 WHEREAS, Mr. Yukich served for four years as a member of
16 the Evergreen Park Zoning Board of Appeals and for five years
17 as Chairman of the Evergreen Park Human Rights Commission;
18 and
19 WHEREAS, Mr. Yukich proudly served on both the Evergreen
20 Park 75th Anniversary and Centennial Anniversary Committees;
21 and
22 WHEREAS, Mr. Yukich has served for fourteen years as
23 Evergreen Park Village Trustee and has great hopes of
24 continuing his service for another term; therefore, be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
26 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
27 this Body recognizes Mr. Yukich on his 80th birthday, March
28 17, 1997, and recognizes through his example what a life of
29 dedicated service to his community what one person can
30 accomplish; and be it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to Anthony "Tony" Yukich.
