LRB9011697MWpc LRB9011697MWpc 1 AN ACT to amend the Election Code. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing 5 Sections 9-11, 9-12, 9-13, and 9-14 as follows: 6 (10 ILCS 5/9-11) (from Ch. 46, par. 9-11) 7 Sec. 9-11. Each report of campaign contributions under 8 Section 9-10 shall disclose- 9 (1) the name and address of the political committee; 10 (2) (Blank); 11 (3) the amount of funds on hand at the beginning of the 12 reporting period; 13 (4) the full name and mailing address of each person who 14 has made one or more contributions to or for such committee 15 within the reporting period in an aggregate amount or value 16 in excess of $2,000 for candidates for State Representative; 17 $3,000 for candidates for State Senator; $20,000 for 18 candidates for Governor; $10,000 for candidates for Secretary 19 of State, Attorney General, Comptroller, or Treasurer; $5,000 20 for candidates for Lieutenant Governor; $20,000 for 21 candidates for United States Senator; $5,000 for candidates 22 for United States Representative; $10,000 for candidates for 23 mayor of a city with a population greater than 500,000; and 24 $1,000 for candidates for all other offices$150, together 25 with the amount and date of such contributions; 26 (5) the total sum of individual contributions made to or 27 for such committee during the reporting period and not 28 reported under item (4); 29 (6) the name and address of each political committee 30 from which the reporting committee received, or to which that 31 committee made, any transfer of funds, in any aggregate -2- LRB9011697MWpc 1 amount or value in excess of $2,000 for candidates for State 2 Representative; $3,000 for candidates for State Senator; 3 $20,000 for candidates for Governor; $10,000 for candidates 4 for Secretary of State, Attorney General, Comptroller, or 5 Treasurer; $5,000 for candidates for Lieutenant Governor; 6 $20,000 for candidates for United States Senator; $5,000 for 7 candidates for United States Representative; $10,000 for 8 candidates for mayor of a city with a population greater than 9 500,000; and $1,000 for candidates for all other offices 10$150, together with the amounts and dates of all transfers; 11 (7) the total sum of transfers made to or from such 12 committee during the reporting period and not reported under 13 item (6); 14 (8) each loan to or from any person within the reporting 15 period by or to such committee in an aggregate amount or 16 value in excess of $2,000 for candidates for State 17 Representative; $3,000 for candidates for State Senator; 18 $20,000 for candidates for Governor; $10,000 for candidates 19 for Secretary of State, Attorney General, Comptroller, or 20 Treasurer; $5,000 for candidates for Lieutenant Governor; 21 $20,000 for candidates for United States Senator; $5,000 for 22 candidates for United States Representative; $10,000 for 23 candidates for mayor of a city with a population greater than 24 500,000; and $1,000 for candidates for all other offices 25$150, together with the full names and mailing addresses of 26 the lender and endorsers, if any, and the date and amount of 27 such loans; 28 (9) the total amount of proceeds received by such 29 committee from (a) the sale of tickets for each dinner, 30 luncheon, cocktail party, rally, and other fund-raising 31 events; (b) mass collections made at such events; and (c) 32 sales of items such as political campaign pins, buttons, 33 badges, flags, emblems, hats, banners, literature, and 34 similar materials; -3- LRB9011697MWpc 1 (10) each contribution, rebate, refund, or other receipt 2 in excess of $2,000 for candidates for State Representative; 3 $3,000 for candidates for State Senator; $20,000 for 4 candidates for Governor; $10,000 for candidates for Secretary 5 of State, Attorney General, Comptroller, or Treasurer; $5,000 6 for candidates for Lieutenant Governor; $20,000 for 7 candidates for United States Senator; $5,000 for candidates 8 for United States Representative; $10,000 for candidates for 9 mayor of a city with a population greater than 500,000; and 10 $1,000 for candidates for all other offices$150received by 11 such committee not otherwise listed under items (4) through 12 (9); 13 (11) the total sum of all receipts by or for such 14 committee or candidate during the reporting period. 15 The reports of campaign contributions filed under this 16 Article shall be cumulative during the reporting period to 17 which they relate.
