1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3383
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3383 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT to amend the Illinois Architecture Practice Act
5 of 1989 by changing Section 2."; and
6 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
7 following:
8 "Section 5. The Illinois Architecture Practice Act of
9 1989 is amended by changing Section 2 as follows:
10 (225 ILCS 305/2) (from Ch. 111, par. 1302)
11 Sec. 2. Declaration of public policy; construction. The
12 practice of architecture in the State of Illinois is hereby
13 declared to affect the public health, safety and welfare and
14 to be subject to regulation and control in the public
15 interest. It is further declared to be a matter of public
16 interest and concern that the practice of architecture, as
17 defined in this Act, merit and receive the confidence of the
18 public, and that only qualified persons be authorized to
19 practice architecture in the State of Illinois. This Act
20 shall be liberally construed to best carry out these subjects
21 and purposes.
