Amends the Illinois Act on the Aging and the Civil
Administrative Code of Illinois. Requires the Department on
Aging and the Department of Public Health to develop programs
and materials targeted to persons 50 years of age and more
concerning the dangers of HIV and AIDS and sexually
transmitted diseases.

1 AN ACT concerning the health of senior citizens, amending
2 named Acts.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by
6 adding Section 4.11 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 105/4.11 new)
8 Sec. 4.11. AIDS awareness. The Department shall develop
9 health programs and materials targeted to persons 50 years of
10 age and more concerning the dangers of HIV and AIDS and
11 sexually transmitted diseases.
12 Section 10. The Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
13 amended by adding Section 55.56a as follows:
14 (20 ILCS 2310/55.56a new)
15 Sec. 55.56a. AIDS awareness; senior citizens. The
16 Department shall include within its public health promotion
17 programs and materials information targeted to persons 50
18 years of age and more concerning the dangers of HIV and AIDS
19 and sexually transmitted diseases.
