1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 688
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 688 on page 3, by
3 deleting lines 3 through 5; and
4 on page 3, line 9, after "referendum.", by inserting the
5 following:
6 "The terms of the 7 trustees previously appointed to the
7 board shall terminate when the reduced board of trustees has
8 been appointed and qualified."; and
9 on page 3, line 32, after the period, by inserting the
10 following:
11 "After the election of the reduced board of trustees, any
12 previously elected trustees whose terms of office have not
13 expired shall remain on the district board and have the same
14 powers and duties as other trustees, but their offices shall
15 be abolished upon the expiration of their terms.".
