Amends the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois to
require the Department of Employment Security to establish an
incentive program for its job placement officers. Effective
immediately.

1 AN ACT to amend the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois
2 by adding Section 44b.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
6 amended by adding Section 44b as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 1005/44b new)
8 Sec. 44b. Job placement incentives. The Department of
9 Employment Security, in consultation with the Department of
10 Central Management Services, shall establish and implement a
11 new plan of compensation for job placement officers employed
12 by the Department. The plan shall provide for a combination
13 of base salary and placement incentives, under which a job
14 placement officer who places an unemployed person in a
15 position of value and skill comparable to the position
16 previously held shall receive a percentage of that person's
17 unexpired unemployment insurance benefits.
18 Section 99. This Act takes effect upon becoming a law.
