(720 ILCS 570/209) (from Ch. 56 1/2, par. 1209) (Text of Section before amendment by P.A. 103-881 ) Sec. 209. The Department, taking into consideration the recommendations of its Prescription Monitoring Program Advisory Committee, may issue a rule scheduling a substance
in Schedule IV if
it finds that: (1) the substance has a low potential for abuse |
| relative to substances in Schedule III;
|
|
(2) the substance has currently accepted medical use
|
| in treatment in the United States; and
|
|
(3) abuse of the substance may lead to limited
|
| physiological dependence or psychological dependence relative to the substances in Schedule III.

|

(2) the substance has currently accepted medical use

(3) misuse of the substance may lead to limited

| physiological dependence or psychological dependence relative to the substances in Schedule III.
