(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2029)
Sec. 19.13. Summary suspension pending hearing. The Secretary may summarily suspend a license issued under
this Act without a hearing, simultaneously with the institution of
proceedings for a hearing provided for in Section 19.2 of this Act, if the
Secretary finds that the evidence indicates that an
occupational therapist's or occupational therapy assistant's continuation
in practice would constitute an imminent danger to the public. In the
event that the Secretary summarily suspends a license without a hearing, a
hearing must be commenced within 30 days after such suspension
has occurred and shall be concluded as expeditiously as possible.
