on page 1, lines 19 through 20 and 21 through 22, by deleting "as

on page 10, by deleting all of line 33; and
on page 11, by replacing lines 1 through 3 with the following: "The".

when the two Houses adjourn on Thursday, January 27, 2000, the Senate
stands adjourned until Tuesday, February 1, 2000 at 12:00 o'clock noon;
and the House of Representatives stands adjourned until Friday, January
28, 2000, in perfunctory session; and when it adjourns on that day, it
stands adjourned until Monday, January 31, 2000, in perfunctory
session; and when it adjourns on that day, it stands adjourned until
