| 2 | | WHEREAS, During the 98th General Assembly, House Joint |
| 3 | | Resolution 27 created the Teacher Recruiting
and Retention Task |
| 4 | | Force to study the impact of Tier 2 pension benefits on the |
| 5 | | ability of school districts
to recruit and retain teachers in |
| 6 | | public school classrooms; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, The Teacher Recruiting and Retention Task Force |
| 8 | | was to report its findings and
recommendations to the General |
| 9 | | Assembly on or before January 1, 2014; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, The Teacher Recruiting and Retention Task Force |
| 11 | | needs additional time to complete its work; therefore, be it
|
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
| 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES |
| 14 | | CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Teacher Recruiting and Retention |
| 15 | | Task
Force shall submit a report, as required in House Joint |
| 16 | | Resolution 27 of the 98th General
Assembly, no later than |
| 17 | | September 1, 2015; and be it further
|
| 18 | | RESOLVED, That with this reporting extension, the Teacher |
| 19 | | Recruiting and Retention Task Force shall
continue to operate |
| 20 | | pursuant to House Joint Resolution 27 of the 98th General |
| 21 | | Assembly.
