HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to
congratulate the members of the 
4Central Catholic High School Girls' Volleyball
Team, the Lady 
5Saints, on the occasion of winning the 2015 Illinois High 
6School Association Class 2A State Championship; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, The Lady Saints defeated the previously unbeaten 
8Orion
on November 14, 2015 in a 2-game match of 25-20 and 
925-21; the team
finished the season with an impressive 35 and 5 
10season record; and
  
 
  
11    WHEREAS, The Lady Saints' victory marks the first girls' 
12volleyball
State championship title in the school's history; 
13and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, The hard-working members of the Lady Saints

15Volleyball Team are Alyssa Osterbuhr, Claire Swanson, Claire 
16Boe, Carli Nafziger,
Kennedy Sheehan, Bailey Coffman, Maddie 
17Holt, Erika Moore, McKahl English,
Meg Deneen, Kate Hoerdemann, 
18Sydney Shanks, Maddie Malinowski, Hannah
Kownick, Callie 
19Slater, and Morgan Koch; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, The team's head coach, JR Banister, has coached 
21girls' volleyball at
Central Catholic High School for 4 years

1and has achieved a record of 107 wins and 40 losses; the team's

2assistant coaches are Teresa Ulrich, Jaclyn Lindsey, Amy 
3Peterson, and Isabela
Dochnal; the team's athletic trainer is 
4Ashley Kingston; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE 
7SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that we congratulate the members of 
8the Central Catholic High School Girls' Volleyball
Team, the 
9Lady Saints, on winning the Illinois High School Association 
10Class 2A State Championship; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the Lady Saints as an expression of our esteem and 
13respect.
