Amends the Video Gaming Act. Provides that if a licensee has not violated the Act or its rules for 3 years, then the Illinois Gaming Board may renew the license for a period of 4 years unless sooner cancelled or terminated. Provides that certain fees collected under the Act shall continue to be collected annually.

1 | | AN ACT concerning gaming.
|
2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
4 | | Section 5. The Video Gaming
Act is amended by changing |
5 | | Section 50 as follows: |
6 | | (230 ILCS 40/50)
|
7 | | Sec. 50. Distribution of license fees.
|
8 | | (a) All fees collected under Section 45 shall be deposited |
9 | | into the State Gaming
Fund.
|
10 | | (b) Fees collected under Section 45 shall be used as |
11 | | follows:
|
12 | | (1) Twenty-five percent shall be paid, subject to |
13 | | appropriation by the General Assembly, to the Department of |
14 | | Human Services for administration of programs for the |
15 | | treatment of
compulsive gambling.

16 | | (2) Seventy-five percent shall be used for the |
17 | | administration of this
Act.
|
18 | | (c) Except as otherwise provided for in this subsection |
19 | | (b), all All licenses issued by the Board under this Act are |
20 | | renewable annually
unless sooner cancelled or terminated. If a |
21 | | licensee has not violated this Act or its rules for 3 years, |
22 | | then the Board may renew the license for a period of 4 years |
23 | | unless sooner cancelled or terminated; however, fees collected |
