3 | | 5, by replacing "Section 5" with "Sections 5 and 12"; and |
4 | | on page 2, immediately below line 12, by inserting the |

8 | | Sec. 12. Temporary license; qualifications and terms.
|
9 | | (A) Podiatric physicians otherwise qualified for |
10 | | licensure, with
the
exception of completion of their one year |
11 | | of postgraduate training and the
exception of the successful |
12 | | completion of the written practical examination
required under |
13 | | Section 10, may be granted a one year temporary license to
|
14 | | practice podiatric medicine provided that the applicant can |
15 | | demonstrate
that he or she has been accepted and is enrolled in |
16 | | a recognized
postgraduate
training program during the period |

1 | | for which the temporary license is
sought. Such temporary |
2 | | licenses shall be valid for the duration of the training |
3 | | program, provided the applicant continues in the approved |
4 | | program and is in good standing at one year from the date
of |
5 | | issuance for the practice site issued and may be renewed once . |
6 | | In
addition,
an
applicant may request a one-year extension |
7 | | pursuant to the rules of the
Department. Such
applicants shall |
8 | | apply in writing on those forms prescribed by the
Department |
9 | | and shall submit with the application the required application
|
10 | | fee. Other examination fees that may be required under Section |
11 | | 8
must
also be paid by temporary licensees.
|
12 | | (B) Application for visiting professor permits shall be |
13 | | made to
the
Department in writing on forms prescribed by the |
14 | | Department and be
accompanied by the required fee. Requirements |
15 | | for a visiting professor permit issued under this Section shall |
16 | | be determined by the Department by rule. Visiting professor |
17 | | permits shall be valid
for one year from the date of issuance |
18 | | or until such time as the faculty
appointment is terminated, |
19 | | whichever occurs first, and may be renewed once.
