SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of James Henry Hollins, Sr. of Joliet, who 
4passed away on January 5, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, James Hollins, Sr. was born on August 15, 1928 in 
6Pinola, Mississippi to William and Naomi Hollins; he served his 
7country in the United States Marines for 23 years; he fought in 
82 wars and received numerous medals and accolades; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, James Hollins, Sr. was retired from EJ & E 
10Railroad, where he was in marketing analysis for many years; in 
11retirement, he established Hollins Tax  & Accounting which he 
12operated for 33 years in the Joliet area; he retired in 2004; 
13and
  
 
  
14    WHEREAS, James Hollins, Sr. was preceded in death by his 
15wife, Annie Credle Hollins; his sons, Johnnie Smith and James 
16Albert Heath; and his grandson, Malcolm Kent Tramel; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, James Hollins, Sr. is survived by his children, 
18Jackie (Skip) Lee, Debra (Errie) Perrie, and James H. Hollins, 
19Jr.; his 5 sisters; his 2 brothers; and a host of 
20grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3James Henry Hollins, Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to 
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of James Hollins, Sr. as an expression 
8of our deepest sympathy.
