2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Milton F. Wunderlich of Joliet, who |
4 | | passed away on January 2, 2013; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Milton Wunderlich was born on August 10, 1928, in |
6 | | Joliet to Milton J. and Elma (Fritz) Wunderlich; he graduated |
7 | | from Farragut Elementary, Joliet Township High School, and |
8 | | attended Joliet Junior College; he married Donna Deiss; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Milton Wunderlich worked as a carver in his |
10 | | family's granite business and went on to found Wunderlich |
11 | | Construction Co. in 1952; he built custom homes for over 50 |
12 | | years; he served as the president of both the Will-Grundy |
13 | | Counties Home Builders Association and the Illinois State Home |
14 | | Builders Association; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Milton Wunderlich was a member of the Cathedral of |
16 | | St. Raymond and Joliet Elks Lodge #296; he enjoyed attending |
17 | | Illini-Wisconsin football games, spending time at his cottage |
18 | | in Wisconsin, enjoying the lake and sailing, working in his |
19 | | garden, and having morning coffee with "the guys"; and
|
20 | | WHEREAS, Milton Wunderlich was preceded in death by his |
21 | | son, Mark; his daughter, Mary; his parents, Milton J. and Elma |

2 | | sister-in-law, Audrey (Donald) Abens; and his brother-in-law, |

4 | | WHEREAS, Milton Wunderlich is survived by his wife of 62 |
5 | | years, Donna; his children, Robert (Mardi) Wunderlich, Susan |
6 | | Wunderlich, Sally (Michael) Smoltich, Scott (Joelyn) |
7 | | Wunderlich, Caralyn (Keith) McDonald, Thomas (Karen) |
8 | | Wunderlich, and Daniel Wunderlich; his grandchildren, Beth, |
9 | | Michael, and Kristen Wunderlich, Julie, Laura, Kara, and Anna |
10 | | Smoltich, Claire and Ben Wunderlich, Megan, Lauren, Michael, |
11 | | and Brian McDonald, and Ian Wunderlich; his 3 |
12 | | great-grandchildren; his brother, Dr. Warren (Darlene) |
13 | | Wunderlich; his sister, Carol (Dr. Donald) Pricco; his |
14 | | sister-in-law, Kay (Harry) Zweifel; his brother-in-law, Dr. |
15 | | Robert (Joan) Deiss; and numerous nieces and nephews; |

17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL |
18 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
19 | | Milton Wunderlich, and we extend our sincere condolences to his |
20 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
21 | | further
