SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Edwin "Bing" Bertrand of Joliet, who 
4passed away on December 17, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Edwin Bertrand was born to Loretta (nee Gleason) 
6and Edwin Bertrand; he was a graduate of Joliet Catholic High 
7School; he married Margaret "Greta" Shannon; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Edwin Bertrand worked for, and retired from, EJ&E 
9Railway after 35 years; he was a U.S. Army veteran, a diehard 
10Chicago Cubs fan, and a devoted father and grandfather; and
  
 
  
11    WHEREAS, Edwin Bertrand was preceded in death by his 
12parents, Loretta and Edwin Bertrand; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Edwin Bertrand is survived by his wife of 55 
14years, Margaret Bertrand; his daughter, Lori (Chris) Adler; his 
15son, Ed (Lori) Bertrand; his grandchildren, Meghan (A.J.) 
16Vivaldelli, C.J., Matthew, and Sarah Adler, Jenny Kate, and 
17Anna Bertrand; and his great-grandson, Austin; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
20Edwin Bertrand, and we extend our sincere condolences to his

1family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the family of Edwin Bertrand as an expression of
