2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate LeeAnn Cali on the |
4 | | occasion of winning the Italian American Executives of |
5 | | Transportation Humanitarian Award; and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, LeeAnn Cali is a second-generation |
7 | | Italian-American; she was born in Chicago to Josephine and |
8 | | Anthony Nuccio; she grew up with her brothers, Joseph and |
9 | | Anthony, in Old Town on Wells Street; she married Vito P. Cali |
10 | | in 1960; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, LeeAnn Cali is a graduate of Rutherford |
12 | | Metropolitan Business College in Dallas, Texas; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Inspired by her family values and admiration for |
14 | | the elderly, LeeAnn Cali decided to create a home for the |
15 | | elderly that would provide the love and care that they deserve |
16 | | in a home-like atmosphere; in 1993, she and her husband |
17 | | converted their property in Delavan, Wisconsin into Vintage on |
18 | | the Ponds, a Community Based Residential Facility; Vintage on |
19 | | the Ponds has been the recipient of numerous awards, including |
20 | | 1st Runner Up for Retirement Communities from The Best of |
21 | | Walworth County in 2013; and

1 | | WHEREAS, In addition to her work at Vintage on the Ponds, |
2 | | LeeAnn Cali was instrumental in the creation of the Walworth |
3 | | County CBRF Network and Family Care, an organization that |
4 | | empowers the families of the elderly; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, LeeAnn Cali was appointed to serve as Commissioner |
6 | | for the Health and Human Services Commission on Aging in |
7 | | Walworth County; and |
8 | | WHEREAS, LeeAnn Cali and her husband are the parents of |
9 | | Vicki (David Zwieg), Joni (Bradley Grabow), and Philip (Debbie |
10 | | Rocco); the grandparents of Elliot, Philip, Danielle, Vito, |
11 | | Maria, and Leana; and the great-grandparents of Elle Marie and |
12 | | Rory; and |
13 | | WHEREAS, LeeAnn Cali serves as a model of hard work, |
14 | | integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of |
15 | | Illinois; therefore, be it

16 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
17 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
18 | | we congratulate LeeAnn Cali on the occasion of winning the |
