| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Fred Hohnke on the | ||||||
| 4 | occasion of his 25th anniversary with the Woodridge Park | ||||||
| 5 | District Board of Commissioners; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Fred Hohnke has been a member of the Woodridge | ||||||
| 7 | Park District Board of Commissioners since 1989, serving as | ||||||
| 8 | President since 1996; in 1997, he also served as the Illinois | ||||||
| 9 | Association of Park Districts (IAPD) Board President, and, from | ||||||
| 10 | 2000 to 2009, he served on the National Recreation and Parks | ||||||
| 11 | Association Board of Directors; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, In 1999, Fred Hohnke received the IAPD | ||||||
| 13 | Commissioner of the Year Award; in 2004, he received the IAPD | ||||||
| 14 | Mike Cassidy Commissioner Community Service Award, and, in | ||||||
| 15 | 2011, he was named the IAPD/Illinois Parks & Recreation | ||||||
| 16 | Association's (IPRA) Distinguished Accreditation Agency | ||||||
| 17 | Co-Chairperson; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, During Fred Hohnke's tenure on the Woodridge Park | ||||||
| 19 | District Board of Commissioners, the district received the | ||||||
| 20 | IAPD/IPRA's Distinguished Agency Award from 1993 through 2010, | ||||||
| 21 | the IAPD/IPRA's Distinguished Accredited Agency from 2011 to | ||||||
| 22 | 2016, the Governor's Finance Officers Association Certificate | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | of Excellence in Financial Reporting from 2010 through 2013, | ||||||
| 2 | Park District Risk Management Agency Accreditation from 2009 | ||||||
| 3 | through 2015, the Schools and Community Assistance for | ||||||
| 4 | Recycling and Composting Education Earth Flag Award in 2010, | ||||||
| 5 | the IAPD's "Best of the Best" Intergovernmental Cooperation | ||||||
| 6 | Award in 2008 and 2014, the Midwest Institute of Park | ||||||
| 7 | Executives' Helping Hands Special Service Award in 2013, and | ||||||
| 8 | Aquatic Starguard Life Guard Safety Recognitions from 2008 | ||||||
| 9 | through 2013; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, During Fred Hohnke's time on the Woodridge Park | ||||||
| 11 | District Board of Commissioners, individual facilities that | ||||||
| 12 | received recognition include, Forest Glen Park, the Cypress | ||||||
| 13 | Cove Family Aquatic Park, Echo Point Park, Mending Wall Park, | ||||||
| 14 | Seven Bridges Park, and the Village Greens Golf Course; and | ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Fred Hohnke helped the Woodridge Park District | ||||||
| 16 | acquire an additional 174.76 acres of land and federal and | ||||||
| 17 | State grant awards and donations totalling nearly $10,000,000 | ||||||
| 18 | since 1993; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, President Hohnke's achievement will be recognized | ||||||
| 20 | at the Woodridge Park District's annual Volunteer Reception on | ||||||
| 21 | November 7, 2014; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 22 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||

| 1 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 2 | we congratulate Fred Hohnke on his 25th anniversary with the | ||||||
| 3 | Woodridge Park District Board of Commissioners and wish him | ||||||
| 4 | many more wonderful years; and be it further
| ||||||
| 5 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 6 | presented to Fred Hohnke as an expression of our esteem and | ||||||
| 7 | respect.
