HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Richard Massaro of Norridge on receiving the Award of Excellence from the Illinois Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association; and

WHEREAS, Richard Massaro joined the Ridgewood Community High School District 234 Board of Education in 1972; for 36 years - one of the longest tenures of any school board member in the State - he has been a dedicated member, working with 4 superintendents and weathering constant and turbulent economic, educational, and political changes spanning over 4 decades; and

WHEREAS, Richard Massaro is the voice for Ridgewood High School (RHS) football and basketball, providing color commentary for all Rebels boys and girls basketball for the last 4 seasons, and play-by-play coverage for Rebels football for the last 2 years; he has a monthly television show on WRHS, entitled "The World as We See It", and also hosts a radio show called "Arm Chair Experts", where he talks about current events and RHS sports; and

WHEREAS, Richard Massaro grew up in the community he now serves and is a 1969 graduate of Ridgewood High School; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulates Richard Massaro on receiving the Award of Excellence from the Illinois Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Richard Massaro as an expression of our esteem and respect.
