| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION

| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to honor Terry Rakocy for his many years | ||||||
| 4 | of service as President of Aqua Illinois, Inc.; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Terry Rakocy was born and raised to a loving | ||||||
| 6 | family in Youngstown, Ohio; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Terry Rakocy graduated from Youngstown State | ||||||
| 8 | University, studying to become a licensed Professional | ||||||
| 9 | Engineer; he subsequently received his Professional Engineer | ||||||
| 10 | License, making him one of the youngest Professional Engineers | ||||||
| 11 | at that time; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, In 1972, Terry Rakocy met and married the love of | ||||||
| 13 | his life, Carol; they have enjoyed over 42 years of marriage | ||||||
| 14 | and are extremely proud of their 4 beautiful daughters, 3 | ||||||
| 15 | grandsons, and 2 granddaughters; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, During his successful career with Aqua Illinois, | ||||||
| 17 | Inc., Terry Rakocy has practiced being a good corporate | ||||||
| 18 | citizen; he has generously donated his time to help with | ||||||
| 19 | charitable and civic organizations, such as the United Way, the | ||||||
| 20 | Kankakee Development Board, the Kankakee Riverside Foundation, | ||||||
| 21 | the Kankakee Pro-Am Board, and the Kankakee Country Club Board; | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | he is also a Life Member of the Illinois Section of the | ||||||
| 2 | American Water Works Association; and
| ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Throughout his professional career, Terry Rakocy | ||||||
| 4 | has developed close and lasting friendships wherever he has | ||||||
| 5 | worked and has served as a mentor to younger employees; and | ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, During his tenure as President of Aqua Illinois, | ||||||
| 7 | Inc., Terry Rakocy realized the importance of the legislative | ||||||
| 8 | process to the water industry; he has often been called to | ||||||
| 9 | Springfield to offer expert testimony on water utility | ||||||
| 10 | legislation in House and Senate committees; with his outgoing | ||||||
| 11 | personality and integrity, he formed many lasting | ||||||
| 12 | relationships with various legislators and staff; therefore, | ||||||
| 13 | be it

| 14 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 15 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 16 | we honor Terry Rakocy for his many years of service as | ||||||
| 17 | President of Aqua Illinois, Inc. and wish him success in his | ||||||
| 18 | future endeavors; and be it further
| ||||||
| 19 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 20 | presented to Terry Rakocy as a symbol of our esteem and | ||||||
| 21 | respect.
