| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION

| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Lake County Crime | ||||||
| 4 | Stoppers on the occasion of the organization's 30th year of | ||||||
| 5 | service to the communities of Lake County; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, For the last 3 decades, Lake County Crime Stoppers | ||||||
| 7 | has sought to provide the highest quality confidential | ||||||
| 8 | informant services based on fairness, honesty, integrity, and | ||||||
| 9 | pride; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Crime Stoppers strives to improve services | ||||||
| 11 | through problem solving and partnerships with Lake County | ||||||
| 12 | citizens to insure a safe place in which to live, work, and | ||||||
| 13 | visit; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Lake County Crime Stoppers has helped keep its | ||||||
| 15 | community safe through the hard work and dedication of its | ||||||
| 16 | volunteers and donors; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Citizens who witness or have information | ||||||
| 18 | regarding a crime can call in anonymously with their tip to | ||||||
| 19 | Crime Stoppers; if this tip leads to an arrest, they can | ||||||
| 20 | receive a cash award up to $1,000; and | ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, This anonymous crime-fighting program has helped | ||||||
| 2 | increase the safety of Lake County residents for the past 30 | ||||||
| 3 | years, leading to thousands of felony arrests, the recovery of | ||||||
| 4 | millions in stolen property, the collection of illegal guns, | ||||||
| 5 | and the removal of narcotics off the streets; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The Lake County Crime Stoppers provides an | ||||||
| 7 | invaluable resource for residents in their communities to work | ||||||
| 8 | alongside volunteers, donors, law enforcement, and the public | ||||||
| 9 | in order to provide a safer community for all those of live, | ||||||
| 10 | work, and visit Lake County; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 12 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 13 | we congratulate Lake County Crime Stoppers on the occasion of | ||||||
| 14 | the organization's 30th year of service to their community and | ||||||
| 15 | wish the organization continued success in the years to come; | ||||||
| 16 | and be it further

| 17 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 18 | presented to Lake County Crime Stoppers as a symbol of our | ||||||
