| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Boat Registration and Safety Act is amended |
| 5 | | by changing Section 3-1.5 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (625 ILCS 45/3-1.5) |
| 7 | | Sec. 3-1.5. Water usage stamp. Any person using a |
| 8 | | non-powered watercraft, except for an inner tube, on the waters |
| 9 | | of this State shall have a valid water usage stamp affixed to |
| 10 | | an area easily visible either on the exterior or interior of |
| 11 | | the device. The Department shall establish rules and |
| 12 | | regulations for the purchase of water usage stamps. Each water |
| 13 | | usage stamp shall bear the calendar year the stamp is in |
| 14 | | effect. The fee for a water usage stamp is $6 per stamp for the |
| 15 | | first 3 stamps. Any person who purchases more than 3 water |
| 16 | | usage stamps receives each subsequent stamp for $3 each.
