AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3985 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3985 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
 
4    "Section 5. The Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private 
5Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and
Locksmith Act of 2004 is 
6amended  by adding Section 10-31 as follows:
 
7    (225 ILCS 447/10-31 new)
8    Sec. 10-31. Contracts for auxiliary police services.  No 
9licensee shall contract with any non-home rule municipality for 
10the provision of auxiliary police services under Section 
113.1-30-20 of the Illinois Municipal Code. A licensee may 
12contract with a home rule municipality for the provision of 
13auxiliary police services, provided that each employee who is 
14to act as an auxiliary police officer under the contract is 
15properly appointed by the municipality and has met the training 
16requirements of Section 3.1-30-20 of the Illinois Municipal

1Code at the time he or she begins performance of auxiliary 
2police duties. An employee serving as an auxiliary police 
3officer shall perform only those duties provided by Section 
43.1-30-20 of the Illinois Municipal Code and shall comply with 
5all other requirements of Section 3.1-30-20 and of the Illinois 
6Municipal Code.".
