SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert L. Goff of Granite City, who
4passed away on October 7, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Goff was born on July 12, 1927, in East St.
6Louis; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Robert Goff served his country as a member of the
8United States Navy for 2 years during World War II; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Robert Goff was employed as a manager for Wilbur
10Waggoner Trucking in Madison; he later served as an independent
11truck broker until his retirement; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Robert Goff was a member of St. Elizabeth's
13Catholic Church and Granite City Elks Lodge 1063; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Goff enjoyed golfing, bowling, and
15boating; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Robert Goff was preceded in death by his parents,
17Edward and Helen; and his brothers, Edward, Harold, and Eugene;

1    WHEREAS, Robert Goff is survived by his wife of 54 years,
2Shirley Ohms-Goff; his daughter and son-in-law, Beth Dittman
3Goff and Robert Dittman; his son and daughter-in-law, David
4Goff and Lisa Jones-Goff; his son and daughter-in-law, Eric
5Goff and Laura Goff; his grandchildren, Megan A. Dittman,
6Matthew R. Goff, Kaitlyn E. Goff, and Ryan Robert Goff; his
7brother, Charles J. Goff; his sisters, Sharen (Jim) Horn and
8Mary Ann Buscher; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore,
9be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
12his family and friends, the passing of Robert L. Goff; and be
13it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Robert Goff6 as an expression of our
16sympathy.
