2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of
Walter Stanley March, who passed away on |
4 | | August 20, 2012; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Walter March was born on January 4, 1927, in North |
6 | | Chicago; his parents were Frank and Ewa March; he married Anna |
7 | | Paquette on July 10, 1954; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Walter March served his country with pride as a |
9 | | member of the United States Army during World War II in the |
10 | | Philippines; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Walter March retired from Fansteel Metallurgical |
12 | | Corporation after 41 years of dedicated service; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Walter March enjoyed spending time with his family |
14 | | and watching the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Walter March was a member of the Veterans of |
16 | | Foreign Wars and the Polish Legion of American Veterans |
17 | | (Casimir Pulaski Post 25); he was also a member of the |
18 | | International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers |
19 | | Union; and |
|

1 | | WHEREAS, Walter March was preceded in death by his wife, |
2 | | Anna; his brother, Anthony; his sisters, Lillian, Frances, |
3 | | Josephine, and Stella; and his parents; and
|
4 | | WHEREAS, Walter March is survived by his daughter, Theresa |
5 | | March; his sons, Ron (Paulette), Jim (Christa), and Tim |
6 | | (Carrie) March; his grandchildren, TJ and Loran March and |
7 | | Colton Chapman (fiance, Loran); his step-grandchildren, Adam |
8 | | Hawkins, Jeff Fisher, and Shawn Fisher; and his many nieces and |
9 | | nephews; therefore, be it

10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL |
11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
12 | | his family and friends, the passing of Walter Stanley March; |
13 | | and be it further
|
14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
15 | | presented to the family of Walter March as an expression of our |
16 | | sympathy.
