SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply
3saddened to learn of the death of Mary Ann Bosnak (nee
4Sekulich) of Waukegan, who died on August 4, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mary Ann Bosnak was born in Waukegan on October
620, 1918; she married Henry S. Bosnak Sr., on June 5, 1937; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Mary Ann Bosnak was a member of St. Mary's
8Croation Lodge #75 and attended many lodge functions around the
9country; she enjoyed bowling, cooking and baking new and old
10recipes, sewing, working in the yard on her flowers, and
11keeping various scrap books of family history, Waukegan
12history, and United States history; she always made it a point
13to exercise her right to vote in elections; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Mary Ann Bosnak never learned to drive a car, but
15could be found walking or taking a bus or a cab to make her way
16around town; she worked in housekeeping at St. Therese Hospital
17for over 5 years; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Mary Ann Bosnak was preceded in death by her
19father, Joseph Sekulich; her mother, Manda Nicholich; her
20husband, Henry S. Bosnak, Sr.; her grandson, Hugh A. Mathis;
21and her sisters, Katherine Koch, JoAnna Tucka, Mary Creamer,

1and Anne Sekulich; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Mary Ann Bosnak is survived by her children, Henry
3S. Bosnak, Jr., Nicholas M. Bosnak, and Helen J. (Richard)
4Mathis; her 5 grandchildren; her 6 great-grandchildren; her
5many nieces and nephews; her siblings, Joseph (Joyce) Sekulich,
6Steve (Velma) Sekulich, John (Sharon) Sekulich, and Matilda
7Sekulich; her sister-in-law, Jeanie Bosnak; and her
8daughter-in-law, Marcie Bosnak; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Mary Ann Bosnak, and we extend our sincere condolences to her
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Mary Ann Bosnak as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
