2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Gerald T. Havey, M.D. of Lake Forest, who |
4 | | passed away on April 30, 2012; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, In 1948, he graduated from Marquette University in |
6 | | Pre-Med; in 1952, he graduated from Marquette's School of |
7 | | Medicine; from 1952 to 1953, he served his internship rotation |
8 | | at St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee; from 1953 to 1955, he |
9 | | served as a Commissioned Officer in the Medical Corp of the |
10 | | United States Army in Germany; and |
11 | | WHEREAS, He served his residency in Internal Medicine at |
12 | | the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, where he also completed his |
13 | | Post Graduate Specialty in Gastroenterology (1958 to 1959); he |
14 | | then began his private, solo practice in Lake Forest (1959 to |
15 | | 1984); and |
16 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Havey was board certified and served on the |
17 | | staff of Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan since 1985, |
18 | | Condell Medical Center in Libertyville since 2001, and on the |
19 | | hospital staff of St. Therese Medical Center in Waukegan from |
20 | | 1980 until it closed in 2005; and

21 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Gerald Havey's was the father of Thomas J., |
