SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Michael S. Hussong of Normal, who passed 
4away on December 30, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born June 22, 1951, in Quincy, the son of 
6Kenneth and Betty Navert Hussong; he later married Julie Brown; 
7he graduated from Quincy High School in 1969 and from Illinois 
8State University in 1973; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, He began working for State Farm Insurance 
10Companies in 1975 where he remained until retiring in 2006; 
11after retirement, he was a real estate agent with Re-Max 
12Choice; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a 
14member of Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl; he was a past 
15member of Lakeside Country Club; he was a huge St. Louis 
16Cardinals fan; and

  
 
17    WHEREAS, Michael Hussong is survived by his wife, Julie; 
18his children, Megan (Aaron) Martin and Matthew Hussong; his 
19sisters, Barby (Skip) Rueter and Kim Hussong; his brothers, Joe 
20Hussong and Randy Hussong; his 3 nieces and 4 nephews; his 
21stepson, Devin Doran; his 4 step-granddaughters; his father and

1mother-in-law, Jim and Nancy Brown; and his brothers-in-law, 
2Jeff (Patti) Brown, John (DeDe) Brown, and Jim Brown; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6his family and friends, the passing of Michael Hussong; and be 
7it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Michael Hussong as a symbol of our 
10sincere sympathy.
