2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Charinez Edna Jefferson of Chicago, who |
4 | | passed away on August 16, 2011; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, She was born on October 20, 1993 in Chicago; she |
6 | | attended John M. Smyth and Marquette Elementary School; she was |
7 | | in her junior year at Banner High School; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, She confessed her hope in Christ on November 14, |
9 | | 2010, under the leadership of Pastor John F. Hannah; she was a |
10 | | warm, outgoing woman who loved to shop, do different things |
11 | | with her hair, cook, and lend a helping hand; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, She became a mother at the age of 16 and accepted |
13 | | all the responsibilities associated with the role; she loved to |
14 | | come home after school and spend time with her baby; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her |
16 | | great-grandmother, Edna Clark; her grandmothers, Inez Williams |
17 | | and Audrey Williams; her grandfather, Luke Jefferson; her |
18 | | sister, Jamyra Nash; and her aunt, Delores Brown; and
|
19 | | WHEREAS, Charinez Edna Jefferson is survived by her sons, |
20 | | Kamaerra Delucus and Kahmani Jabez Mims-Jefferson; her mother, |
